- Medium size pot
- Medium size casserole or oven friendly pyrx
The numbers below apply to two servings and to be multiplied according to the number of servings ordered.
Prepare your cream
Pre-heat your oven on 180°C for 10 minutes. In a medium size pot, drop your cream on medium-high heat. Add the garlic, butter, rosemary, salt and pepper to taste. Let them heat for 2 minutes (don’t boil).
Drop your potatoes
Drop your potatoes to the sauce and bring to boil then drop the heat down to low heat and let cook for 20-25 minutes (make sure the potatoes are nearly soft and all covered with the cream).
Assemble your casserole
In a medium size casserole, add half of your potatoes and cream then layer the caramelized onions equally on top then cover the onions with the rest of the potatoes mixture.
Finish your dish
Turn on the oven grill (top heat/salamander). Sprinkle the cheddar cheese equally on top of the casserole and bake in the pre-heated oven for 5-7 minutes till the cheese melts completely and the top turns goldish.
